I purchased what looks like a steering wheel that reads "Advance Co" on the top portion and "Richmond Indiana" on the bottom portion. It also has what might be a "suicide knob". Does anyone know if this is from a tractor? Thrasher? Thanks for any info you can provide.

My father-in-law (Donald E. Kaiponen)and his family/siblings were born and raised, went to scool in Bruce Crossing, Michigan before he moved down to the lower Michigan peninsula. His last sibling/brother (Wilbert Kaiponen) passed away 2 Years ago and his property/estate now belongs to my father-in-law and his daughter (my wife, Donna). My father-in-law (Don & his wife, Cecelia)live in Dearborn Hts., MI and my wife and daugher and I live in South Lyon, MI. Long story short, there are two gas powered farming tractors that are startable/operationable that my wife's uncle used until he passed away. One is an International Harvester (Farmel B, aprox. 1950's vintage & the other is a Ford Tractor, aprox. 1950's model too.) My/our question(s)is this... does your organization know or could tell us what, where, how we could go about restoring these tractors or know anybody who we could contact that might give us more info/insight in possibly getting them restored and/or a possible buyer for them? I work for Ford Motor Company and would like to possibly get them restored and donate them to the "Henry Ford Museum Organization" and possibly restoring the International Harvester restored to sell or offer that one too the "Henry Ford Museum. As you can tell by this e-mail, we really don't know where to start or who we could talk to so we could have more info/options available for us. If there is anything you could do to help us out, we would appreciate it. My wife, daugher and I plan on going up to Bruce Crossing to the farm sometime next Spring (March/April 2009) to pack up and bring some things back to the lower penninsula from the farm. An exact day/date is still pending and all. If you would like, you could call me (Frank) or my wife (Donna) at our home number (248.486.9177) anytime that would be convenient for you. Thank you very much for any type of infor or feedback that you would be willing to share with us and especially for your consideration in helping us with our request. We are all very excited and anxioulsy await for a reply back from your organization. Thank-you!

Sincerly,

Frank, Donna and Sarah Obranovic, Jr.

I'm looking for information on a 1925 Boss cement mixer.  It was made by the American Cement Machine Co. in Keokuk Iowa.  It has a 2hp Stover gas engine number KA169094.  I can find lots of information on the engine but nothing on the mixer itself. I was able to get all the componets of the mixer working with some oil.  Now I need to try and find a original paint color and what the wheels were covered with, wood or rubber.

I hope to have it fully restored for your show in the fall.

Hope you can help.

Thanks
